Sinterline® Conference in India – Adding more value to the customers
Along with Imaginarium – India’s largest rapid prototyping & manufacturing company, Solvay Performance Polyamides Indian team has hosted the first Sinterline® Conference in ITC Windsor, Bengalore on 11th April 2017 to showcase pioneering polyamide materials for Additive Manufacturing. Over 50 customers from automotive, aeronautical, consumer and industrial product manufacturing were present.
Dominique Giannotta, Solvay Sinterline® Program Leader, presented the technical details and case studies on the benefits and Sinterline® application, which has been followed by many questions and warm discussions from the customers.
Nishant Shah, Director Engineering at Imaginarium, shared his perspective as a leading additive manufacturing service bureau in India and also presented case studies where they have used Sinterline® Technyl® Powders for manufacturing for a few customers.
The Automotive OEM community was represented by B.Thej Kumar, Toyoda Gosei General Manager – Product Development and Quality, shared important insights on the requirements of an automotive manufacturing from 3D Printing.
“Take this technology as an industry and if we can use to increase speed, offer mass customization and offer new opportunities for our customers, which they feel is impossible, then additive manufacturing can go a long way in adding value to current business”, concludes Peter Browning, Solvay Engineering Plastics General Manager.
