Arriba! Our Technyl® compounding plant in Mexico is taking shape

In terms of automotive production, Mexico is a mature, dynamic, and continuously growing region. Companies in the light vehicle industry have a total of 18 production complexes located in 11 Mexican states, with activities ranging from assembly and armoring, to casting and stamping of vehicles and engines. Solvay’s presence in the region is an essential factor serving locally-established automotive OEMs directly.

Designed to become one of the world’s top OEM facilities, Solvay’s new polyamide compounding plant in San Luis Potosí is moving ahead according to plan. The building is now nearly complete, with equipment scheduled to start arriving in March.

This new facility is expected to be operational starting in Q3 2017 to serve growing automotive and consumer goods markets in the region and the Americas.
