Strengthening Collaboration: South East Asia Distributor Meeting
Solvay Performance Polyamides South East Asia (SEA) Distributor Meeting took place in Seoul, Korea, on 17-18 July 2017. The meeting was an opportunity to share in-depth information on Technyl® products and servicing offerings. Participants discussed SEA market trends and explored new business opportunities. Most importantly, Solvay Performance Polyamides has strengthened the collaboration with their distributors in this region, seeking a solid partnership for strong, sustained progress.
Three major distributors participated in the meeting: Adyabina from Indonesia, VS Chemicals from Malaysia and Target Maxx from Thailand, where Solvay introduced its Technyl® portfolio and explained its strategy for APAC supply chain and product stewardship. Participants also discussed on trends in the automotive and C&E markets. During the lab tour at the Solvay Ewha R&I Center, the distributors witnessed demonstrations of molding and troubleshooting methods for plastic injection. On the day after, they visited Solvay Performance Polyamides site in Onsan.
After 2-day meeting, the distributors expressed strong confidence in continuing to introduce innovative, advanced technologies while strengthening market channels to generate greater value for customers. They acknowledged that such meeting helped to better understand the fast-developing South East Asian market, and to strengthen collaboration with regional business partners. Jean Yves Grand, Solvay SEAJ Commercial Director mentioned “it was a great platform to introduce Solvay’s leading technologies and innovative solutions to the distributors. We have defined concrete actions and clear responsibilities, which will be leading us to a path of strong, sustainable development.”
